Care for a refined Kitli experience? Urban Kitli is the place. Of late, Ahmedabad has seen quite a few such 'kitli joints' including Tea Post, Chai Wai. Urban Kitli tops this genre with bringing together the elements of kitli culture and an urban cafe and striking the balance.

Tucked away in a narrow lane behind the IIM new campus, Urban Kitli is certainly out of obvious horizon yet the location is strategic being in the vicinity of L.J. College. On weekdays, Urban Kitli is thronged by college-goers.

The best thing about Urban Kitli is their variety of 'chais' and the way it is made. Each time you order a cup of any chai here, it is freshly made. And they have a unique steaming process for making the tea. I loved the adrak chai. And then the food. Coleslaw panini is extremely delicious. The cheese garlic grilled sandwich is too good to have only one. And then there's more food. Maggi of course!

The pricing is probably too right to be true; totally reasonable. The place is adorned with bamboo palisade a line of table against the wall and other tables arranged across. Self-service is the mantra.

Lovely place! Must-go. And then keep going over again and again.

RATED It is a surprise that paces like this aren't cropping up more frequently in Ahmedabad. Urban Kitli takes all that is good about a chai-tapri, removes all that is gross and serves a Heady concoction of good ambience and service dipped in a good measure of tasty Chai. If you are here, do try the Urban Chai which has just the right mix of mint, ginger and cardamom. The nimbu-paani is to die for! Overall a place that will pleasantly surprise you. RATED This is the only place to go to for a quick bite or refresher if in the vicinity of Income Tax Circle and of course for those work there it is a great place for a quick meal too. I have visited the place on several occasions have always found myself a fulfilling snack and refresher.
